Using Your Maternity Jeans After Delivery: Hot or Not?

Your maternity jeans were great during your pregnancy, right?.  They provided terrific support for your front and back, thus reducing backaches.  They were really fashionable pieces of clothing that gave you numerous possibilities in mixing and matching with lots of tops and blouses. They gave you comfort without sacrificing style, a big plus for pregnant women.  However, now that you have delievered, is it hot or not to wear your maternity jeans?  Well, the answer is both a "yes" and a "no" - it really depends on the circumstances.

You can wear your maternity jeans after delivery, especially when you have yet to return to your pre-pregnancy figure.  It may take a while to bring back your hour-glass figure particularly when you get so busy as mother that exercising just doesn't happen like it used to.  Hopefully, this will be just a temporary lack of time for healthy exercise, but that is something to think about.

When wearing your maternity jeans, just be sure you don't let them ride so low on your hips and belly that you might have some strange version of a wardrobe malfunction.  Hopefully, the stretchable front panel will enable them to adjust to your new figure.

You sure don't want to wear your maternity jeans when you feel that the fit is unflattering to your post-pregnancy body.  After all, maternity jeans are designed to provide support the right support for protruding bellies, something you obviously no longer have.

There is also the fact that maternity jeans often have details and designs that quickly give away that they are for pregnant gals.  Think of those front panels.  You probably don't want people asking you so soon after giving birth if you are pregnant again.

In short, you can still look hot in maternity jeans if you know how to pair them with the right tops and accessories for a few months after giving birth.

However, when you have regained your hourglass figure, then it is time to get back to the styles of clothing you wore before your months of pregnancy!

Discover the Flattering Looks of Maternity Swimwear

One of the best things about maternity swimwear is that, just like regular swimwear, it comes in a variety of sizes and styles, cuts and colors to flatter just about any pregnant figure.  Indeed, maternity swimsuits are meant to be worn on a very obviously pregnant gal!

However, there are certain styles that will look more flattering depeding on your body style and preferences.  The trick is in knowing which style flatters what body type, thus:

Tie-back -- halter neckline provides greater support for big breasts.
Classic -- tank swimsuits with adjustable side shirring offer support and coverage until the ninth month.
Bikinis -- are for women who desire to expose more skin although this style may not be suitable for more vigorous water activities as it does not offer support.  Pair with either soft cups or underwire support depending on your preference.  You can even wear these bikinis after delivery, which makes it serve a double purpose.
Tankinis -- cover the belly and its stretch marks, with the bottoms coming in a variety of styles.  By far, this is the most popular of all maternity swimwear.
Skirted -- bottoms are great for covering up weight gain on the thighs, hips and buttocks.

Now, look at yourself in the mirror and decide which style or styles would look amazing on you.  Then go to an online shop to choose which one suits your style.  We recommend shopping online because it saves on hassles, and lets you see an amazing array of maternity swimwear that might not be available at your local retailers.

You may ask why maternity swimwear is best when you are pregnant if plus-size swimsuits will do the trick just as well.  There are many reasons, of which the most important is that maternity swimsuits offer just the right amount of support, comfort and style for your growing needs..  And the fashion options are great, too!

Maternity Swimwear for Your Water Exercises

Doctors often recommend swimming as the best exercise for pregnant women.  It combines the benefits of resistance training with low-impact movements, which pregnant woman are often advised to engage in for better health.  Well, you will need the right maternity swimwear for this activity!

Keep in mind that support in a swimwear is more important now that you are pregnant.  The areas that need said additional support are the growing breasts and stomach, which is often provided for by the use of elastic cloth materials as well as underwire support on the tops.

And of course, don't forget that every water activity may require a different kind of swimsuit for comfort and support.  Thus, for women who like to swim laps, the one-piece suit is often the best choice.  You need not worry about the bottom falling off or the top falling down!  If you want to be fashionable or sexy, then opt for the one-piece maternity swimwear with details like a keyhole in the neckline or cutouts in the sides of the belly.  You can choose from all colors of the rainbow for an added fashionable feel to the swimsuit.

If you are into aqua aerobics, you will not need as much support as in lap swimming.  After all, the exercises are performed in place with little to no speed required swimming through water.  You can go with just about any style you want, be it a tankini, a tank swimsuit, a two-piece bikini or the one-piece attire.

This is also true for pregnant women who just want to lounge around the pool or the beachside.  Any style will do just as long as you are comfortable in it, you feel good in it, and you still look like a really hot fashionable pregnant gal in it.  Maybe you can throw in a see-through cover-up to complete your look.

Indeed, maternity swimwear for water exercises is as important as the movements themselves.  After all, you must be properly dressed for the pool and be fashionable while you are at it.
